The Brompton Fountain supports the treatment and care of children and young people (from birth to 25 years) who attend the Royal Brompton and/or Harefield hospitals. Our charity works closely with the hospital teams and provides a wide range of vital resources and services as well as funding medical equipment and improvements to the hospital facilities.
Activity Pack Activity packs are offered to children and young people who have been a patient on a children’s ward at the Royal Brompton Hospital for over a week. We are looking to offer these packs to young people under 26 years, on adult wards, in the near future. Bags contain a selection of activities, such as fidget items, craft opportunity and tools needed to complete the activity booklet. We have 3 different versions (sensory, child and young person) to meet varying needs.
Food Treats We offer food treats to children on children’s wards who have been an inpatient for more than 4 weeks. We are looking to offer treats to young people under 26 years, who have been an inpatient on an adult wards for more than 4 weeks, in the near future.
Personal Pampering Treats We offer pampering treatments to young people and their families on children’s wards, who have been an inpatient for more than 4 weeks. We are looking to offer similar treats to young people under 26 years, in the near future.
Haircuts Haircuts can be arranged for children and young people under 26 years who are an inpatient on either a children’s or adult ward.
Welcome Pack After spending 3 days on a children’s ward, a family should receive a welcome pack. We are looking to offer welcome packs to young people under 26 years, who have been an inpatient on the adult wards for more than 3 days, in the near future.
Emergency Pack We offer emergency packs for children, young people and their families staying on children or adult wards, who have been unable to bring their own essentials from home.
Transport and Hotel Bookings On some occasions we may be able to support children, young people and their families with transport and hotel bookings.
Events The Brompton Fountain runs numerous events each year for children, young people (under 26 years) and their families.
Trailblazers The Brompton Fountain supports and funds the running of Trailblazer youth group for young people aged 13-25 years.
The Brompton Fountain funds a piece of jewellery and two year membership with MedicAlert (LINK) for those aged 25 years or younger who receive care at the Royal Brompton and Harefield hospitals. We fund one piece of jewellery per person. Please email mail@thebromptonfountain.org.uk for further information or to get your own MedicAlert jewellery and membership.
