Here you can read stories of families we have helped, after reading them please think about supporting our work by making a donation.
We value our volunteers and reflect this in the support we give them. We often have exciting opportunities for those who would like to commit regularly, as well as tasks or activities for those that prefer to help on a more adhoc basis. Voluntary work is also valuable for building a CV, especially during or after a break from paid work, whilst studying, or during a gap year.
Our volunteers are always trained and supported by the team during their time with the charity. We will also strive to provide training for an individual volunteer who has highlighted a need or interest to develop a specific skill if it is relevant to their role within the charity. In addition, we will provide detailed references for our volunteers for job applications.
We ensure that all volunteers with the charity are fully vetted, and references are checked. In addition, every team member receives a fully enhanced DBS and completes basic child protection training, as outlined in our safeguarding policy. To find out more please contact us.
