Here you can read stories of families we have helped, after reading them please think about supporting our work by making a donation.
Although there are plenty of other ways to get involved, the following are just a few ideas for how you and your colleagues can help us.
We want as many people as possible to see our brand and understand the importance of the work our charity does at Royal Brompton Hospital. Raising awareness through your school’s social media and website will inform your stakeholders, clients, and followers about the difference we make for our young patients and their families.
Having a link to our charity website or one of our fundraising appeals on your email footers will also help to raise funds and awareness. We can also supply you with charity leaflets and posters to display at your school.
Volunteers are a key part of the success of our fundraising events. Without them, we wouldn’t be able to provide the level of support we do to our incredible fundraisers who take part in running, cycling, and other sporting activities to raise money for The Brompton Fountain.
It would be great if you and your school could join us in cheering, clapping, and shouting words of encouragement to our runners and cyclists at various events. Your school could also become ‘Event Volunteers’ to help at our larger charity events to ensure they run smoothly. Roles include marshalling running and cycling routes.
Throughout the year we hold a number of fundraising events at Royal Brompton Hospital to raise funds for our charity. These include our summer and winter fairs, seasonal events, and one of our flagship initiatives – our Christmas Toy Appeal. You can get involved by volunteering at these events to help on one of our many stalls and selling our merchandise.
Another great way your school can support our charity is by sponsoring a team at one of our many organised events such as our London to Brighton Bike Ride or our flagship event of the year – the Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon.
You can have your school’s logo on some or all of our charity kit at these events with images shared on our active social media accounts. Not only is it an easy and cost effective way for your school to support our charity but also allows us to promote you to our over 40,000 followers.
